About this work
Soup tureen of hard-fired earthenware. The tureen stands on a foot and has high, C-shaped handles. The top of the handles is shaped like a (papyrus?) leaf lying against the tureen. From the leaf, a flower in relief runs on both sides of the tureen. The tureen is painted with black lines and a vine with flowers and fruit. The tureen is marked: Wedgwood.
