Strip of appliqué lace with two rows of linked arches

Strip of natural-coloured Brussels appliqué lace: needle lace applied on drochel ground. The repeating pattern consists of two rows of openwork arches, which are connected to each other by sparse tendrils with oval leaves. The upper row of arches lie with the convex side down, the lower row of arches stand with the convex side up. Between the arches stand scattered flowers and on the arches are attached twisting branches. The sparse full work is enclosed by widely festooned thread bundles. The upper side is finished with a separately bobbin-edged band. The almost straight finished lower side is provided with very fine picots.
