The Virgin and Child with St Anne

Anna stands on a plinth with her right knee bent. She holds the seated Mary with her right hand and supports her feet with her left. Mary holds the naked child with both hands; the child is turned toward the viewer. Anna wears a head covering and a veil hanging from the back of her head. Her mantle, open at the shoulders, is tucked under her left elbow; her left pointed shoe protrudes from beneath her gown. Mary wears a crown on her loose hair and a long gown that largely covers her feet.
