About this work

Porcelain ewer on a spreading foot, with a pear-shaped body, high handle, and wide pouring rim. Painted on the glaze in red, purple, and gold. On the belly, sprigs of flowers. The neck with a band of golden lines containing a floral scroll. Below the rim, a leafy scroll undulating around a golden line. Leafy scroll on the handle and gold bands on the foot and rim. Marked on the underside with 'B Potter 23' and E.B.
