About this work

The object consists of two parts: the base and the stem with candle holder. They are cast and then turned. The very wide base has a profiled rim. The horizontal part can serve as a drip tray. The raised section around the middle forms the start for the round short stem, which is decorated with three profiled knops, of which the lower one is slightly wider. The stem forms one piece with the round candle holder, which is provided with three profiled knops. At the bottom of the base it can be seen how the stem is riveted into the base. Also visible are the grooves that were created during turning on the lathe.
