About this work

Sample of natural-coloured bobbin lace with coarse thread as an example of ringed spiders with twelve legs (the pointed oval motif), accompanied by a fragment of Binche lace in which this technique is applied. In the sample a strop trellis ground is used, in the fragment the spiders are worked as ground. The dating concerns the sample.
