Strip of natural-coloured bobbin lace: Rosaline. Pattern with rosette flowers and spirals. The motifs are bobbin-made in linen stitch with open picot edge and with fine cut-outs in some motifs. The bobbin-made relief contours, which are actually characteristic of Rosaline, are missing in this design. The contours are here and there accentuated by thicker threads or parts bobbin-made closer together. The motifs are connected to each other by braids with picots. In the flower hearts a decoration is applied in the form of a block bobbin-made in shape stitch or with a decorative ground, a closed needlepoint ground. The upper side of the strip is finished straight. The shallow scalloped edge results from the pattern and is finished with picots.
