About this work
Square piece of natural-colored needle lace with geometric motif, reticella. Motif consisting of sixteen squares, filled with horizontal and vertical lines. In the four central squares, arches emphasize the form of a Greek cross, a cross with equal arms intersecting precisely in the middle. A double row of small cutouts or openwork along the outer edge of the piece.
