About this work
Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace. The repeating and symmetrical pattern consists of a band with openwork circles in a lattice ground. Hanging below the band are triangular shells, always one shell under one openwork circle. In the triangle two braids run straight down from the band. Below each triangular shell hangs a small circle made with a braid. This is 20th-century lace made after a 16th-century pattern.
