About this work
Strip of natural bobbin lace. The repeating and symmetrical pattern consists of an openwork band with a horseshoe-shaped motif between two oblique lines. Under the band hang openwork triangular scallops, always one scallop under one horseshoe with oblique lines. This is 20th-century lace made after a 16th-century pattern.
