Strip of mixed lace with two rising branches bearing rosette flowers, between which a symmetrical motif with round forms and a hanging drop-shaped leaf

Strip of natural-colored mixed lace: Milanese ribbon lace. The symmetrical pattern consists of two rising branches with short curved twigs and some rosette flowers. Between the branches stands at the top of the strip a symmetrical motif with two round parts from which a drop-shaped leaf hangs downwards. The motifs are largely bobbin worked in linen stitch with cutouts and partly provided with bobbin worked relief contours. Small parts are bobbin worked in net stitch. The motifs are connected by a needle lace ground. The top edge of the strip is straight finished and provided with two metal seals on which is written 'DENTELLE' and 'VÉRITABLE', which translates as 'genuine lace'. The shallow scalloped edge comes from the pattern and is finished with picots.
