Fragment of bobbin lace with one flower branch

Fragment of natural-colored bobbin lace: old Brabant lace. The pattern consists of a single flower branch, with a large flower in the center from which smaller flowers spring. Directly below the large flower, another stem runs in line with the stem, featuring among others two round flowers and one calyx flower. The motifs are connected by a trellis ground. The motifs are made in worked linen stitch with openwork edges, here and there with net stitch fillings. As decorative ground, among others, a plaited ground with picots is applied along one edge and on two small sections along this edge a five-hole ground. The fragment is unfinished.
