Strip of gold lace with lobed pointed ovals

Bobbin lace strip, gold lace. The pattern consists alternately of a larger and smaller pointed oval, made of thick cords. Around the smaller pointed oval, three thick lobes are made at the top and bottom with net filling. Around the larger pointed oval, five narrower and openwork lobes are made at the top and bottom of braided threads. In the center of the large oval, a smaller oval is made in net filling, and in the other oval, an oval-shaped center is made in linen stitch, both secured with long twisted threads. The shells on both long sides of the strip originate from the pattern with the lobes.
