About this work
Fragment of natural-coloured lace embroidery. By means of work with drawn threads and cutwork a pattern has arisen of a square network with four-pointed stars. The rectangular shape of the fragment widens stepwise, to then again narrow stepwise resulting in a kind of shell. The lace embroidery was made in a convent on Curaçao.
