About this work

Strip or filler of black bobbin lace, Cluny lace. The repeating pattern consists on the centre line of a flower heart to which petals are attached in four directions. The successive flower hearts are connected by a horizontal picoted braid and with double overlapping pairs at the top and bottom of the strip. The flower hearts are made in linen stitch. The petals are made in needle lace. The top and bottom of the strip are finished straight with an open zigzag edge.
