Strip of bobbin lace with ovals below and above a wavy line

Strip of mixed-coloured bobbin lace, Cluny lace. The colors used are black, beige and white. The pattern consists of a regularly wavy line, with in the wave valleys and under the wave tops always one oval. Above the wavy line, along the upper side of the strip, runs between two straight lines a zigzag line. The motifs are made in linen stitch and/or with braids and are connected to each other by a braid ground. The upper side of the strip is finished straight. The scalloped edge at the underside consists of semi-circular shells, where the shells under the wave valleys are provided with a fan of pointed shells, made with braids and finished with picots.
