About this work
Strip of bobbin lace, gold lace, Spanish lace. The pattern consists of a wavy band with stripes across the width. Under each wave top stands a simple bean-shaped motif and in each wave valley an elongated curved motif, with a cutout in the middle crowned by a small oval. The motifs are made in buttonhole stitch, with thicker contour threads. Top and bottom sides of the strip are finished straight and provided with picots.
