About this work
Strip of silver lace, Spanish bobbin lace. The pattern of linked ovals results in a two-sided scalloped strip. Worked with filé yarn, between which silver lamé threads are placed. Many threads are damaged and/or displaced due to damage. Many silver lamé threads are missing. The lace was used for church purposes in Sicily.
