Strip of machine-made lace with three-leaf on a stem curled twice

Strip of natural-colored machine lace: machine Brussels duchesse lace. The repeating pattern consists of a trefoil with a stem that curls around twice which lies along the lower edge of the strip. The motifs are made in linen stitch with openwork edges and contour threads. The successive leaves with stems are connected to each other by a machine plaited ground. In the first loop that the curling stem makes a block is made, with which a bobbin stitch form is suggested. The upper edge of the strip is finished straight. The scalloped edge along the lower edge comes from the pattern with the trefoil.
