About this work
Jug of stoneware on a high foot with an egg-shaped body and wide neck. Three C-shaped handles are attached to the neck and shoulder. Profiles on the neck, shoulder, and foot. Covered with a brown engobe. The base of the handles extends vertically in a narrowing profile to halfway down the belly. Between these profiles, in relief, an impressed and applied medallion with Lady Justice and the inscription 'GERECHTIGEI[...]' in a mandorla surrounded by scrollwork. Raeren.
