About this work
The bucket was probably cast and turned as a single piece together with the handle attachments. The latter were chased. The center hole is visible on the underside of the bottom. The bucket, which widens towards the top, stands on a sloping hollow foot. The wall is decorated with a pointed rib in the center and on the flaring upper part, and further with grooved rings at the rim. The handle attachments are square with a profiled and serrated top. The handle in the form of a trefoil is a later replacement.
