About this work

Embroidered tableau of chenille and silk. The scene depicts a landscape with trees, featuring a grave monument on the right foreground with a recumbent figure leaning on a vase with the left arm. On the left background stands a round building with a dome-shaped roof. It is an allegorical representation commemorating Princess Wilhelmina, wife of Prince William V. The tableau is framed.
