About this work
A wooden thread winder. On a rectangular base stands a holder containing a cogged wheel; a recumbent lion is placed on top of the holder. A meter is attached to the side of the holder, on which a small boy stands. An arm is placed across the holder to which the spools are attached, around which the thread can be wound. Three spools are broken.
