About this work

Fragment of red silk fabric, damask, with embroidery. The damask has a symmetrical pattern of large flowers and leaves. Along one long side a chain is embroidered, and along the other long side a garland from which grapevines sprout. One short side is rounded and cut, with ears of corn and a vine running along the curve. The fragment consists of two sewn-together pieces.
