About this work

Candlestick of wrought iron on three flat feet, which curl inward at the bottom. Above this, a leaf-shaped flat plate with a raised rim is riveted, serving as a grease catcher. Next to the inward-pointing tip of the leaf shape, the stem is riveted, which is flat at the top and bottom, and round in the middle with a flat, scalloped disc between two fluted spherical forms. At the top, the stem curls slightly, creating a small handle. Riveted to the stem is the candle holder with a crown-like ornament. At the bottom of the stem, the spring is riveted, ending in the candle holder and decorated with several worked curls and other ornaments between the spring and the stem. The height of the candle is adjustable via the spring.
