About this work
Round plate of hard-baked earthenware; creamware with decoration on the glaze. On the flat is painted a Dutch text: No 3 IK BEN GESONT EN FRIS...EN DAT U GANSE LEVEN. The rim is painted with a winding leafy vine. The plate is marked: HERCULANEUM. The plate belongs to an identical plate but with a different text (BK-NM-4394-A).
