About this work
Round plate of hard-baked earthenware; creamware with decoration on the glaze. On the flat is painted a Dutch text: No 2 MIJN VRINT IK BEN VERBLIJT...UIJT VERGELEGEN HOEKEN. The rim is painted with a winding leafy vine. The plate is marked: HERCULANEUM. The plate belongs to an identical plate but with a different text (BK-NM-4394-B).
