About this work

The object consists of the following mostly sheet-metal parts: the pot placed on a ring, the spout, the lid and the knob, the two ornaments around the handle attachments and the handle. The pot, the spout and the lid have chased rocaille ornaments and floral swags. The lid knob is in the shape of a bird. The cast ornaments around the attachment pieces consist of a mask surrounded by rocailles and a floral swag. The bracket-shaped handle has been repaired in several places. The pot has a renewed bottom, the wall, the spout and the handle are dented.
