Galvanoplastic reproduction of the cup of the St. Martin's or Brewers' Guild of Haarlem

Galvanoplastic reproduction of the cup of the St. Martin's or Brewers' Guild of Haarlem. The cup, decorated with Renaissance ornaments, consists of a cuppa placed on a foot with a baluster-shaped stem and four volutes, which end in female heads. The upper side of the cuppa has a widened rim, on which rests a profiled lid crowned with a plastic group depicting Saint Martin cutting his cloak in two for a beggar. The middle section bears four oval medallions, alternated with winged angel heads and other motifs, depicting scenes from the life of the saint. Here one sees the conversion of two robbers, the raising of a boy from the dead, Saint Martin at the building of a church, and his deathbed. Various ornamental decorations are applied to the entire object, including leaf motifs, scrollwork, floral garlands, and satyr figures.
