About this work
The painted tin tea pail has a square foot that transitions into a round stem, upon which the actual pail rests. This is ribbed at the bottom and transitions into a slightly wider cylindrical shape. The rim is decorated with applied gilded garlands and gilded ram's heads, from which two rings are suspended. On the cylindrical pail, two medallions with landscapes and figures are painted, surrounded by flowers.
