About this work
Tin jug. The three feet are formed by claws on spheres. Resting on them is a cylindrical jug decorated with spiral swellings. At the top is a pointed spout. The vaulted lid closes the jug and spout and has a Roman soldier as a finial. The thumb rest is decorated with a winged cherub's head and connects via a double-hinged joint to the handle. The round feet and soldier were likely added later.
