About this work

Beer mug or box of serpentine stone, carried by a tin ring on three lion's paws. The upper rim is surrounded by a tin band and closed by a domed tin lid. On the lid sits a lion or dog. The ball-shaped thumb rest connects via a single-joint hinge to the handle, which curves slightly outward at the bottom.
