Spectacle case in an elongated shape with rounded corners, made of thick paper covered with dark brown leather and printed with gilded floral ornaments. On the lid, a border of fine floral tendrils frames a rectangular field with symmetrically arranged Oriental-looking motifs. Around the side of the case, a band with several stylized flowers. A printed double diamond pattern adorns the bottom of the case, which is otherwise left undecorated. Closure by means of two copper hooks and eyes, one of which is missing. The interior is lined with marbled paper, with dark blue velvet lining against the lid and on the bottom. Inside the case, a cylindrical tube of thick paper, covered with black leather with a gilded edge at the ends, containing glass hair tubes (?).
