About this work

Fire screen of walnut on an oak core, with a sliding tapestry panel. The stiles and stretchers are plain. The bottom rail is scalloped in an ogee shape and the top rail, in a flat arch, is pierced. The tapestry shows a colorful bouquet on a black ground, edged in green. The back is upholstered with green watered linen.
