About this work
Image representing Venus drawing water. On an oval base, representing the beach, Venus lies on her left side with upper body upright, supporting herself on her left arm. With her right hand she scoops water with a shell. Behind her stands a large ewer. Her classical hairstyle is held together by a band, the classical garment that has slipped from her left shoulder and leaves the breast uncovered, is open on one side leaving her right leg uncovered. On the beach lie some shells. Signed.
