About this work
From a balcony between two pillars draped with leafy vines, six men, three women, and a child look at the spectacle behind them. All seen from the back or in profile. The men all wear wigs. Part of a series of plates that together form a diaphanorama of a temporary temple with fireworks. The rear plate of the diaphanorama is missing.
