About this work

On a plinth stands a naked youth on his right foot with his left leg bent, standing on a raised platform. He holds with his right arm a woman hanging limp backwards against his bent knee, who lets her left arm fall along his knee and holds her right arm around his back; with his left hand he supports her head. Her garment has slipped down to her waist, leaving her upper body uncovered. At the back of the plinth a part of a snake(?).
