About this work

The object consists of an inner basin and is made of a drum with a lid attached by a hinge, two handle mounts, and a handle with a wooden grip. The profiled drum and lid have a shallow diamond-shaped outline, enlivened by double braces. The wall is decorated with punched and partially chased floral motifs against a punched background. Small motifs are cut out in the domed lid, forming a star-shaped pattern in the center. A footrest is riveted to the lid. The bottom has been renewed and reinforced with iron parts, isolating it slightly from the floor. The lid has been repaired along the rim. The handle and grip are later replacements.
