About this work
Chair of beechwood with oak seat and backrest. The front legs with house and jointing and the back legs are connected by four bracket-shaped carved lower and three hollowed-out upper stretchers. The bracket-shaped carved seat rails support the seat, decorated with a border of triple scale stitch. The similarly decorated back posts end in lion heads. Between the back posts are three flat stretchers, below and above with rosette and acanthus volutes; the middle one with open-work chain ornament.
