About this work

Walnut chair with woven rush seating, resting on S-shaped front legs with dolphins and rear legs, which also as the H-shaped cross and the backrest show housing and jointing. The free-standing baluster-shaped corner posts carry vases. The top rail shows an openwork crown above a fish, between dolphin heads and volutes. Three posts divide the central field of the back into two sections covered with rush; the posts decorated with volutes. The bottom rail shows a coat of arms between volutes.
