About this work

Lined with green and yellow parchment and decorated with gilded ornaments, this wooden jewellery casket is dated 1740. Inside are various compartments, including recesses especially for rings. On the side of the casket are two 'secret' drawers. The box's format made it particularly suitable for travel.
