About this work

Bookbinding of black leather with silver mounts; on the front, in the center, a silver cartouche with a coat of arms without arms. On the back, the same cartouche, engraved with a man and a woman shaking hands. Costume from around 1600. The four corners of each leaf are decorated with a cherub's head in a cartouche. The two locks are connected to the leaves, also by engraved plates in cartouche form. One of the plates is damaged and broken. The spine is broken in the middle, due to the insertion of a small Bible from 1777, which proved too thick. This has been removed.
