About this work

Conical foot with turned-over rim. Baluster-shaped stem with three discs. High, funnel-shaped cup. On the cup, in an oval medallion, the portrait of Stadtholder Prince William III (1650-1702) is engraved under the inscription 'Prince.d.Orange'. On the other side a pollarded tree is depicted, from which a young shoot with orange apples sprouts.
