About this work

Children's chair of walnut. The furniture is caned and has diagonally placed front legs, decorated with acanthus leaves, between which naked armlets carry fruit baskets. The openwork front rail shows in the middle a shield with AB 1707 and on either side of this putti carrying acanthus vines and above the shield a fruit basket. The back window shows openwork acanthus vines and has a semi-circular crown, consisting of a female bust and two mermaids.
