About this work
Saucer for the milk jug. Ribbed, with scalloped edges. The ribs are separated by vertical gold lines. The hollows are dark blue (Blue du Roi), the ribs white, adorned with a decoration of foliage and a plaited band. The edges are gilded, with the gilding scalloped inward. Marked in underglaze blue.
