About this work

Round purse of ochre-yellow shantung silk, around which a square area with radiating points of embroidered green-grey brushed wool, lined with ochre-yellow silk. The four points are fixed to the upper edge of the purse, with at each end a tiger's eye bead. The wool is decorated with small regularly spaced points and an embroidered border in gold-yellow and brown mohair. In the middle a four-pointed star, within which an embroidered circle in green and brown and a semi-circular glass bead. At the points of the star a machine-embroidered line of round brown or elongated gold-yellow dots, which comes out in the points of the woolen area. Along the edge of the bag a strip of crocheted circles through which a double gold-yellow twisted cord is threaded, with which the bag can be closed. The bag is unlined.
