About this work

Porcelain teapot with a cylindrical wall, curved spout and angular handle, painted on the glaze in sepia and gold. On the body, twice a medallion with in one a depiction of a battle with the inscription 'GEVECHT BY AMSTELVEEN, 1787' below it and in the other a portrait with the inscription 'H. HOOFT'. A band with a leaf vine around the medallions. Leaf vine on the handle and the angular lid handle. Marked on the underside with N-103.
