About this work

Milk jug of porcelain with a cylindrical wall, triangular spout and angular handle, painted on the glaze in sepia and gold. On the belly twice a medallion with in one a depiction of a battle with the inscription 'CAPTURE OF KATTENBURG, 1787' below and in the other a portrait with the inscription 'VALENTYN.'. A band with a leaf vine around the medallions. Leaf vine on the handle and the angular handle of the lid. Marked on the underside with N-103.
