About this work

View of the hall with seating and standing places of the Amsterdam Schouwburg on the Keizersgracht. This city theatre was designed by Jacob van Campen and built on the site of Samuel Coster's Dutch Academy (at the location of the current Keizersgracht 384). It opened on December 26, 1637.
