About this work
Gold coin. Obverse: Crowned monogram on two crossed swords, consisting of the letters C and L. Reverse: on one line the letters I, H, and S. Above it the All-Seeing Eye and below it an eagle. Date at the top in the legend. Cable edge. Called a child ducat due to the legend on the obverse. This coin, also called the Sophia ducat, was repeatedly struck until 1812.
